After a very game changing and dramatic post season, the Boston Red Sox ended up coming out on top proving to be the all around, star studded team. With the big all around performance from the Red Sox there were certain key players that had contributed many insurance runs, saves, and big outings on the mound. A great example of this is Mookie Betts, he wasn’t performing as he would like at the plate only hitting .217 in the world series for far but ended up hitting a key homerun when they needed it most in game 5. Another clutch performance by the unknown Steven Pearce who had hit 3 homeruns in the world series putting them ahead multiple times and giving more insurance runs then needed. And to top it off for the Red Sox, one of the worst starting pitchers in the post season David Price, had given a great putting only giving up 1 run in game 5, his biggest start of the season. And now onto the other side of things Clayton Kershaw, the Los Angeles Dodgers ace and arguably one of the best pitchers in baseball today had given it his all but it was not enough to stop the big hitters on the Red Sox. After this season and the Dodgers now losing 2 years in a row in the World Series, I feel as if Clayton Kershaw will end up leaving the Dodgers and signing elsewhere. And another big key factor that the Dodgers will more then likely lose is All-Star Manny Machado, he had been signed during the All-Star break for only 1 year and I’m almost certain he will ending up leaving and going back to an AL team. Sources say he has much interest in the Yankees so I feel as if this will be a very exciting offseason with lots of unexpected things to occur.
